Essie Chillato & My Favorite Seafoam

I hope you had a fabulous weekend, whether it was a long 3 day weekend or not!  Labor Day marked the unofficial end of summer in the US, but before we transition into darker Fall polishes I have two more favorites to post.

I've made it no secret that seafoam is my favorite color. This polish made its debut in one of my original posts.  I thought it was time to break it out again!  I've worn it many times since then, and I love it just as much every time.  So first up is an oldie by Forever 21 Love & Beauty Seafoam.

I love how soft and subtle this is, and the glass flecks make it easy to work with.  It is sheer, this is 4 coats but dry time was very fast. 

Sadly, Forever 21 changed their polish line so you won't be able to find this exact Seafoam anymore.  One of my very favorite indie brands, Pahlish, just released a subtle holo seafoam polish (Laughter of the Stars) so if you are looking for something in the same family check that out when she restocks!  Once I receive the bottle I purchased from her release on Sunday, I will be posting it....my fingers are crossed!

I also wanted to throw in a swatch of Essie Chillato. It's a very paled out chartreuse - way more so than any of the other similar colors (think Color Club Under the Blacklight and Orly Key Lime Twist).  I have been wearing this color a lot this summer, and I have worn Chillato twice but never posted it.  This one needs 3 coats but wasn't terribly difficult to work with and leveled nicely.  You can still find this one anywhere and it's unique enough that I don't think you will have a color quite the same.

I think both of these colors could transition into fall.  I can see both going well with grey sweaters and boots.  Besides if you really love a color, and it makes you feel good to wear it, that's all the reason you need!  Thanks for stopping by!

SinfulColors Whiteboard

September marks the start of fall and all things I love!  I'm sure back to school was one of them, but it's been so long now that it seems like a distant memory.  I'm excited to see what SinfulColors has planned for later this fall; but they recently released a Back to School collection and they are on sale at Walgreens again for .99 this week!  I've posted quite a few from this collection of demi-mattes and glitters already:  Hazed, Truth or Lavendare and Night Owl for example.  These are all still available at Walgreens and on sale right now!!

My picks from SinfulColors A Class Act collection

Today I have one more from the Chalkboard Diaries collection, Whiteboard.  This is a demi-matte finish white polish and is one of the 3 Walgreens exclusive shades.  I love a white mani in the summer, because it's so fresh and looks great with bright clothes and accessories.  I wanted to squeeze this in while the weather is still summer-like, but as a base for art it will be great any time.

This is 3 coats of Whiteboard without any topcoat.  I had a bit of leveling issues so the 3rd coat helped to even things out, but I still couldn't get it perfect.  I love the soft finish on this one, with being a semi matte, and grabbed a back up bottle to try out the formula of that one. Aside from the leveling issues, the wear was great and had no chipping issues at all!

Make sure to check the bottle so you get Whiteboard and don't end up with a Snow Me White.  :-)

Jesslacquer Fairy Dust - Oh My Flakie Goodness!

Happy Saturday!  I am so honored and excited to share a polish from new indie on the scene, Jesslacquer.  Jess is releasing her new fall polish collection, OMFG - Oh My Flakie Goodness! and it looks to be a stunner based on the polish I'm wearing now.  She had a contest on social media to help names the shades, and I am so flattered that she picked one my names! 
As a thank you to those whose names were selected, she sent us one of the new polishes! And because she's already a sweetheart, she sent one more so I could post my reviews and (little did I know at the time) swatches that you will drool over because of how amazing this collection is!  Thanks so much, Jess!

So, first the package came and the bottles were wrapped so adorably that I had to share with you! Talk about immediately getting me excited...shiny magenta wrapping will do it every time! :)

Then I unwrapped one, and woah......

Then I put is on, and squee!!

Indoors

Fairy Dust is the name of this polish, and I am smitten with it!  This was 3 easy coats, and a topcoat. The first coat was sheer, so you could easily layer it over something.  But 2-3 coats will definitely make Fairy Dust opaque and each coat adds more magic! I have such a weakness for grey polishes.

Fairy Dust is described as "a light grey with holographic glitter, pink/purple/gold multichrome flakies, and teal/green multichrome flakies."  But I think my "OMFG!!" was just as accurate.  I mean, this macro:

I've included a picture she posted that shows all 7 shades in the Oh My Flakie Goodness collection available as of tonight on her Etsy shop. Polish & Posies: Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Siren's Summer Vacation

I think it is safe to say that you have seen me pose with various flora from my own garden as well as my parents'. I was thinking of starting a small series called Polish & Posies, where I will feature a polish that matches or coordinates with a flower or plant. What do you think? Let's try it out, shall we?

I try not to feature a polish that is not currently available in a store or indie shop, but I have to make an exception here! I love it when a polish matches the flowers so I had to share this beauty!

This is a limited edition polish created by Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer. Siren's Summer Vacation is described as a neon purple with turquoise, pink, and purple glass flecks. It dries to a matte finish, but I preferred a shiny finish so it is shown with a coat of Rica's Glossy Glam over it. 

I think this Siren likes petunias!

This Siren applied like a dream on both my tips and toes and was opaque in two average coats. Overall, I adore this shade. I've had many compliments on my pedi polish the last few weeks, which just happens to be Siren's Summer Vacation! People seemed to enjoy the name too, agreeing that it feels nice and Summery. I wonder where Siren goes for her Summer vacation?
